Vocal capability battery (VCB)*

A variable set of [intlink id=”665″ type=”post”]vocal tasks[/intlink] that the clinician [intlink id=”157″ type=”post”]elicits[/intlink] from the patient in order to understand the individual’s [intlink id=”627″ type=”post”]vocal capabilities[/intlink] and [intlink id=”650″ type=”post”]vocal limitations[/intlink]. During the VCB, the clinician might assess [intlink id=”49″ type=”post”]average/anchor pitch[/intlink], [intlink id=”338″ type=”post”]maximum range[/intlink], ability to [intlink id=”26″ type=”post”]add loudness[/intlink], [intlink id=”554″ type=”post”]sustained phonation[/intlink] (for stability), [intlink id=”557″ type=”post”]swelling tests of mucosal injury[/intlink], [intlink id=”338″ type=”post”]maximum phonation time[/intlink], and response to brief [intlink id=”608″ type=”post”]trial therapy[/intlink].
