Local anesthesia

As compared with [intlink id=”192″ type=”post”]general anesthesia[/intlink], in which the entire body is rendered unconscious and asensate,local anesthesia “numbs” a local area, most commonly with [intlink id=”319″ type=”post”]lidocaine[/intlink] injected into the tissues to be operated upon.
