Can include [intlink id=”520″ type=”post”]spirometry[/intlink], which assesses various capacities and capabilities of the respiratory system, apart from [intlink id=”427″ type=”post”]phonation[/intlink]. Also allows determination of the pressure and flow through the vocal folds during [intlink id=”427″ type=”post”]phonation[/intlink]. BVI clinicians believe that aerodynamic analysis of voice has yet to earn a place as part of the routine diagnostic workup. See [intlink id=”245″ type=”post”]integrative diagnostic model[/intlink], as well as [intlink id=”800″ type=”page”]BIV’s diagnostic model/method for voice disorders[/intlink]. Aerodynamic analysis of voice, however, may be of interest for voice research and when the equipment is used as a biofeedback tool in the therapy room.
