Addition of loudness

Refers to the ability to increase the loudness of the voice. An individual may be either apparently or due to physical limitation unable to add loudness because of [intlink id=”641″ type=”post”]vocal fold paralysis[/intlink], a [intlink id=”373″ type=”post”]nonorganic[/intlink] disorder, or vocal fold [intlink id=”633″ type=”post”]bowing[/intlink] – although the [intlink id=”424″ type=”post”]phenomenology[/intlink] observed when three individuals representing these three diagnoses try to add loudness differs markedly.
